2 Scottish Screen Archive ' Relatively unknown work like McConneIl's could not have been preserved over the years if it wasn't for the fantastic job that the National Library of Scotland does in preserving film of great Scottish historical and social importance.

3 Educational Films of Scotiand If you ever wondered who made some of the sometimes tedious. sometimes fascinating films that you were occasionally forced to watch at school, chances are it was McConnell. His best- known film for the EFS was an 18- minute 1973 film on Scottish based sculptor Benno Schotz.
