Cover story: Ian Rankin quest edits The List
What fun to be asked to guest edit this issue of The List/And a big thank you to the team for going along with most of) my suggestions. I'm used to being interviewed, but seldom get to play interviewer, so it was a thrill to be able to ask one of my favourite bands, Saint Jude's Infirmary, how they’re getting on in the recording studio. Earlier this year, I hooked up with Aidan Moffat in New York and we found that we share a lifelong passion for comic books and graphic novels, so I've interviewed him too. Apart from comics, my other vice is music, and l'cl happily spend all week browsing record shops, often seeking out rare vinyl, so I've asked Mark Edmundson to compile a list of the best. You also need to know about Scotland's bustling crime fiction scene . . . and be wary of real-life cybercrime. Plus we spend a night on the town with the Edinburgh cops. Enjoy.
