sprinkled the last of its magic dust, star Daniel Radcliffe has confirmed he will make his Broadway debut when the play Equus transfers to New York in September next year. The 18- year-old completed a successful eight-week run of Peter Shaffer‘s play about a disturbed youngster who blinds horses - at the Gielgud Theatre in London earlier this year. Radcliffe said of the Stateside move: ‘If we can get a straight play to really succeed in a world of theatre that is so besieged by musicals, that would be a real achievement and I think the time is absolutely right to do it there. For a kid who grew up listening to showbiz tunes in the car, Broadway is a big, big thing. All the people I know in New York say the Big Apple is ready for this kind of play.‘ Radcliffe’s co-star Richard Griffiths, will also reprise his role for the

Broadway show.
