The GRV's inaugural exhibition features five new light works by installation artist Box. who is best-known for his 2004 site-specific work. Field. which featured 1301 fluorescent tubes powered only by the electric fields generated by overhead pylons. The GRV is fast carving out a niche for itself as Edinburgh's multi-faceted artistic hub to rival Glasgow's Arches. As well as an exhibition space, the venue also boasts a club decked out with visual technology and new media as well as film production facilities and — count ‘em - two cocktail bars.
