LREASONS a T0 so SEE

ENON

1 They are natty dressers with neat haircuts Who are you calling superficial? Enon look hip as hell with their killer combination of sharp mop-tops. cute T-shlrts and tight curls. and it makes staring up at them on stage a whole lot more enjoyable.

2 They have been creating amazing oft-kllter scratchy pop for almost ten years Now that is worth a celebration. Fourth album Grass Geysers . . . Carbon Clouds was released at the end 2007 and somehow this three-piece just seem to be getting better and better.

3 They survived the short- llved, huff and puff about NYC bands In the early 003 Despite their current Philly abode. Enon are considered stalwarts of the New York music scene. and it's testament to their excellence that they didn’t suffer the same fate as many of their peers. Where are The Bravery and French Kicks now?

4 They’re not afraid to shed members when necessary Enon don't let sentimentality get in the way of sounding good. John Schmersal (guitar/bass/synth/ vocals) is the only remaining original member of the band with Toko Yasuda (bass/synths/vocals) and Matt Schulz (drums) joining a year into their career. it‘s kind of like The Sugababes . . . only good.

They are named after a place which Is both home to the second largest conical Indian burial mound in Ohio and the birthplace of the second American to fly in space With piss-poor claims to fame like these it's lucky this much- revered act exists. Nothing else is going to put the village of Enon on the map. (Camilla Pia)
