aste-buds at the ready! Following

the success of last year's festival.

Taste of Edinburgh is set to return in May with an even bigger line—up. As well as offering food lovers the opportunity to sample taster dishes from 20 of Edinburgh's top restaurants. festival goers will be able to eat and drink from up to l()() speciality food and drink suppliers.

Scotland's Michelin-starred chefs Martin Wishart and Andrew Fairlie will headline. alongside Lady (‘laire MacDonald and The Tower‘s James Thomson. Restaurants involved in the four-day festival include Centotre. (‘reelers. Dakota. Ducks at le Marche Noir. Forth Floor at Harvey Nichols. Number One at The Balmoral. Plumed Horse. Restaurant Martin Wishart. Restaurant David Bann. Roti. Santini and The Tower.

Taste Festivals is the brainchild of

Brand Events and (‘hannel 4. which launched them in September 2006. Last year. Taste events were held in Edinburgh. Dublin. London. Bath and Birmingham. This year. Leeds replaces Dublin in the line up of events taking place across the UK.

LOVE DANCE

I Following Scottish Ballet’s win for Outstanding Repertoire (Classical) at the National Dance Awards, the troupe is to introduce a second full- length production of Romeo and Juliet to its touring programme. Acclaimed choreographer Krzysztof Pastor, resident choreographer at Dutch National Ballet, has promised a fresh visual snapshot of Shakespeare's text, while a dramaturge has been recruited to help bring the story to life.

Meanwhile, following its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in 2006, Daft Punk are set to release the DVD of their movie, Electroma, this summer. The film, which features ‘two robots in mythical America’, will be released alongside a 40-page book of stills from the film.

Back in the UK, following their double win at this year's Brits, Take That’s Beautiful World DVD has become the fastest-selling music DVD in UK history.

In other festival news, upcoming rockers The Twang are set to return to Scotland for this summer's Rock Ness festival gig. Finally, Outsider organisers have said there will be no festival this year but that they will be returning in 2009 as part of Scotland's Year of Homecoming.
