Clemens en August, the ultra-hip, cleanly tailored couture line from German designer Alexander Brenninkmeijer, is installing its Spring/Summer mens & womenswear collections in The Lighthouse in Glasgow in a sort of part-exhibition, part-shop showcase, with sales assistants on hand. It's the first time the label (most recently seen all over James McAvoy every time he takes to the red carpet) has come to the UK, and The Lighthouse, with its reputation for championing excellent design, is an ideal venue for the ‘pop-up shop’, which has previously exhibited only at the MAK in Vienna, the New York Guggenheim, and the iconic KW Institute for Contemporary Art in Berlin.
