TUNE UP: MUSIC TOURING ACROSS SCOTLAND '

PROGRAMME MANAGER (APPLICATION TO TENDER)

The Scottish Arts Council wishes to commission the contract for Tune Up Manager from August 2008 to July 2009. You will manage the annual Tune Up music touring programme for 2008-09. You will have overall responsibility for the management of the Tune Up programme, all press public relations and marketing, management of the website and the strategic development of the scheme. You will also be responsible for advising and supporting each individual tour that has been funded.

Arts Management Trainee Salary: £15,000 a year

Ankur Productions. a Glasgow-based multi-arts organisation committed to increasing participation in the arts. is seeking an enthusiastic candidate from a Black or Minority Ethnic background to train in arts management. The traineeship. lasting 18 months. is funded by the Scottish Arts Council as part of its cultural diversity implementation strategy. (The post is consistent with the provision of Section 37(1) of the Race Relations Act 1976 [amended]).

Based in Glasgow (and occasionally working in Edinburgh) you will acquire a wide range of skills necessary for running a busy arts organization. including project-management. office administration. arts marketing, fund-raising and web-site development. If you have a strong interest in theatre and the arts. great teamworking and interpersonal skills. and are educated to degree standard (or have three years experience in an arts organization). and are keen to advance your career in the arts. then get in touch.
