The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of the Entertainments operation at Edinburgh University Students' Association venues. The postholder will report to the Central Area Manager and will also work closely with management staft across the Association, Communications Advisor and external suppliers and industry contacts.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable management experience within an events environment and must have the ability to plan effectively and possess good communications skills. S/he will have a key role in developing, implementing and managing the entertainment programme for all venues combined with developing and supervising technical staff.

So what does your job actually involve? Live events, broadcast services, graphic design, video and film production.

Best I worst aspects? The best aspect is definitely the opportunity to work with lots of different people both within the UK and throughout the world. I also really enjoy the fact that there is plenty of variation in the job. The worst aspect has to be the long hours - deadlines are deadlines - but it's really fulfilling.

We are providing the outside broadcast services for the main screen at T in the Park this year and we'll also be making the winning films for the Metro Ecosse and The List Short Film Competition.
