This group exhibition at the GRV, which explores our tendency to anthropomorphise animals and

inanimate, includes new work by Icelandic video artist Sigga Bjorg Siggurdardottir and a video work by Scotland’s Erica Eyres, which takes notions of female beauty to new extremes. ‘Popple’ (pictured) by Dutch artist Katinka Simonse (aka Tinkebell) features a taxidermied cat that transforms into a taxidermied dog when turned inside-out, providing a memorable critique of our complex relationships with animals.

I The GRV, Edinburgh, until Sun 20 Jul.
