FREE TICKETS, 2 GREAT VENUES 8: THE BEST IN EMERGING MUSIC LIVE EVERY WEEK

The Mill Edinburgh, the second of our venues created by Miller Genuine Draft, opened its doors on September 4th. Mnlky B, from The Mill A&R team, started the proceedings with his typically eclectic DJ set, before handing over control of the decks to Mira and Reuben from Larlytron. Action Group and The Velcro Quartet put on great live shows it’s well worth logging onto the website to download their live tracks and loads of others for free. Everyone at The Mill loved them, so much so that we have booked The Velcro Quartet to play at The Mill Glasgow on Oct 22nd, alongside indie hipsters Alto Elite. As this is likely to be another busy show, get along to the website to get your free tickets booked as soon as possible.

The Velcm Quartet live at The Mill

Both The Mill venues hosted sold out shows in September when hundreds of you packed in to see Kohai and Twin Atlantic in Glasgow, and Frightened Rabbit and We Were Promised Jetpacks in Edinburgh. The response from the audience to all the bands said it all, with many people who hadn’t seen Kobai heralding them

as one of the best emerging bands on the circuit. Twin Atlantic also went down a storm as you would expect, and they even opted to have their new single filmed at The Mill.

These gigs won’t be the only full houses in the coming months, so remember, if a gig has sold out, there is always a chance for you to get your paws on one of our ‘last chance’ tickets at selected bars in Glasgow and Edinburgh check out the website for more info.

With only a handful of shows under our belt, the word is spreading fast about The Mill, with well over a hundred bands requesting to play. The Mill’s A&R team are sifting their way through the tracks - our biggest problem is finding enough slots to be able to accommodate everyone!

Highlights for the coming months are already listed on the website. Tickets are fast disappearing for l. ii‘iiis.l;)lin::;izTigers and Billiili? 8. The Faint at The Mill Glasgow on Oct 15th. And Ten Sli‘lreyr; High, who’ve been kicking up a fuss this summer are also definitely worth checking out at The Mill Edinburgh, playing alongside Kitlno on Oct 16th. The following week (Oct 23rd) at The Mill Edinburgh is likely to be a busy one too, with Alto Elite and The Debuts"; both dominating the stage.

We don’t stick to any particular genre if it’s good music, you’ll see it at The Mill so we have a bit of trip hop at both The Mill Glasgow and Edinburgh on Oct 8th and 9th when dBass Collective and Untierling introduce you to their individual styles.
