With The Mill fast becoming a recognised venue for emerging bands, demand for slots has been immense. We’ve reached sell out on a few occasions already, with the Frin‘rlF‘i‘v’fii Rabbit and We Were Runner-d -fetpeaks gig being particularly impressive. Many music lovers also made use of the Last Chance Tickets available at the Genuinely Different Bars. In fact, there still weren’t enough to go round. All the bands playing at The Mill have their songs recorded live and then mixed by one of Scotland’s top producers, Tony Doogan, who has been responsible for producing some of the UK’s best bands including Belle & Sebastian, Mogwai, and Super Furry Animals, to name but a few.

The Mill is all about promoting emerging bands, with a strong team of experienced music industry professionals who work their magic on every band. As well as having their tracks mixed by Tony Doogan, they get a professional video filmed and edited for them, their logo designed and get to see their name on billboard sites around the city. Our A&R team has once again been sifting through a huge variety of bands from trip hop to ska, punk to alt country.
