Scottish Opera's latest touring production with piano accompaniment is Franz Lchar's delightful and most famous operetta. Set in Paris, 1912, The Merry Widow tells the tale of Hanna Glawari, the witty widow of a filthy rich man, who is in search of a new spouse.

The great Sir Charles Mackenas conducts celebrated pianist Artur Pizarro and the SCO in a performance of Beethoven's gorgeous Piano Concerto No 4, sandwiched between what will undoubtedly be a magnificent performance of two of the later Mo7art symphonies: No 31 (‘Paris‘) and No 36 (‘Linz‘).
