Database Designer and/or Database Developer With SCOTLAND’S LEADING ENTERTAINMENT & LIFESTYLE MAGAZINE

The List is seeking the services of an experienced Database Designer and/or Database Developer to support a major new digital project. The List is interested in hearing from individuals who can contribute with one or both of these skills. It is anticipated that The List will award a xed term contract in the rst instance, and depending on the individual(s), follow this with full time employment.

Working with the team responsible for the development and running of list.co.uk (Scotland’s largest events and entertainment website - with an audience of over 375,000 unique users per month) you will play a central role in developing the digital infrastructure for our next phase of growth.

Required skills:

Strong track record of designing and building databases for websites with signifi cant traffi c Excellent knowledge of database design, optimisation and maintenance (currently MySQL) Thorough understanding of XML.

Desirable experience: ticketing systems would be advantageous. PHP, CFML, Java, RDF Understanding of publishing systems based on Adobe InDesign, (x)HTML, Ajax Linux system administration Prior experience within the Arts & Entertainment sector or in the development of listings or
