What did you do before you started this job? I worked for three yeasatArts8t Business, which gave rnevaluable insight into how to build successful partnerships between thecorporateand cultural sectors. Italsogavemean understanding ofhowartscrganisations arerun and funded, which I didn‘t really have before. despite being anenthusiasticconsurneroftheartsBeforethatlspentadecade worldngincomrnunicationsrolesforfinancialservicesfirms in London. What'sthe bestway to getajob like yours? Peoplecometoarts developmentjobsviaallkindsofdifferentromes-there’snoonenght way. Idothinkthatifycuaregoingtobedealingwiththecorporate sector, it’sagoodideatohavespentscmetimewcrkingin,orat Ieastcloselywith, commercial organisations. No matter how excited youmightbeaboutwhatyourorganisationdoesyouhavetofind acornpelling reasonwhyabusiness should beasexcitedasyou.
