Experience the best young Scottish talent bringing Robert Burns’ epic poem to life in a series of unforgettable live performances. Performed for the first time by the combined talents of Scotland’s National Youth Performing Arts Companies- Scottish Youth Theatre, Dance (Scottish Youth Dance) and the National Youth Pipe band. Internationally renowned song writer and composer, Dougie Maclean has developed a unique festival which shares his inspiring music and celebrates the history of Perthshire. The concerts are held in wonderful venues from prestigious theatres to historic castles.

RACMSA RALLY OF SCOTLAND : THE FINAL STAGE OF THE INTERCONTINENTAL RALLY CHALLENGE As part of Scotland’s Homecoming Celebrations head to Stirling and Perth to see the RACMSA Rally of Scotland, the first time an intercontinental rally has come to Scotland in 20 years. The rally action starts at historic Scone Palace and finishes at spectacular Stirling Castle.

HIGHLAND HOMECOMING MACKINTOSH 100

A fantastic programme of cultural events will be on offer in the Highlands. Look out for events that include arts, music, theatre, spectacular projections, archaeology and informal talks and seminars, all with a Homecoming theme, in addition to special exhibitions telling the stories of the people who lived in and emigrated from the area over the centuries. We look forward to welcoming you home to the Highlands in 2009! Mackintosh 100, which celebrates the life and works of Charles Rennie Mackintosh culminates in the centenary celebrations of this masterpiece, The Glasgow School of Art. The exhibition features rarely seen paintings, drawings and textiles from the School’s own Archive Collections Centre, Glasgow Museums, Hunterian and Aberdeen Art Galleries collections.
