Laura Veirs One of indie pop’s more literate songwriters, Laura Veirs’ hotly anticipated album July Flame is out this fortnight, and you can check out what her live show’s like too, at this Celtic Connections gig. Recalling the vivid lyrics and starkly incisive voice hinted at in her debut album of 1998, her songs reverberate with rhythmic twists and unexpected melodies.
