WIN STUFF

WIN ELVIS 75 CDS

All hail the king. Mr Presley is back (but did he ever really leave?) and to celebrate what would have been ‘the Pelvis’s’ 75th birthday year, this 3 CD collection brings 75 hip-swivelling hits spanning the length of his career, from 1956’s ‘Heartbreak Hotel’ to 2002’s JXL remix of ‘A Little Less Conversation’. We’ve got five copies to give away, so mince over in your blue suede shoes to www.list.co.uk/offers to enter. WIN HOMEGAME TICKETS

We think this year’s Homegame line-up looks pretty bloody good. (see feature on page 24) But we also realise it’s now completely sold out. So thank your stars that Johnny at Fence Records, aka Pictish Trail (pictured, above) is offering a pair of tickets to be won by one lucky List reader. To enter, drop your details off at www.list.co.uk/offers.

The closing date for both competitions is Wed 3 Feb.

Glassjaw The mighty Glassjaw finally make their way to Glasgow after several false starts and multiple cancellations. The Long Island post-hardcore mob have been plagued by disputes with their record labels, multiple line-up changes, a long hiatus (from 2004 when frontman Daryl Palumbo started his poppier Head Automatica project) and, perhaps most debilitatingly of all, Palumbo’s ongoing battle with Crohn’s disease hence the various postponed and cancelled gigs. However, now they are back with more ferocious, progressive punk. QMU, Glasgow, Tue 26 Jan.
