sophiegetseverywhere Sophie Stubbs aka sophiegetseverywhere studied Visual Communication at Glasgow School of Art, graduating in 2007. Her work explores the messages that are portrayed within the fashion industry, and the ways in which these ideals are inflicted on the viewing public. Using collaged magazine cuttings, the work showcases simple, interesting distortions of figures and faces which have sinister connotations with a disturbing outcome, while still maintaining the glossy fashion façade. By recycling images that we are used to seeing as an expression of perfection, the work seems all the more unnerving as an adverse meaning is now being communicated. www.sophiegetseverywhere.com www.thisiscentralstation.com
