How did you get that job?

Name Lindsay Campbell Job Title Fashion Stylist

Company Lindsay Campbell Fashion Stylist Website www.lindsaycampbell.co.uk

When did you start your job? I went freelance and started my own company in 2006. So what does your job actually involve? I style fashion shoots for magazines and newspapers, campaigns for different clients, catwalk shows, and for videos and TV. I also do some fashion journalism, providing quotes for fashion stories on hot trends and giving advice on following them. I also do a little bit of presenting on fashion segments, most recently for The Hour and Galaxy Radio.

Best / Worst Aspects? I work away a lot which is both a positive and negative aspect of my job. I always have something new on every week - which is great - but when you are your own boss the buck stops with you, so it’s a lot of responsibility. Looking back, what advice would you give to a young Lindsay at the start of her career? Don’t take things so personally - people are not always going to love you and you have to just dust yourself off and get on with it. Also have confi dence in yourself, if you know you are the best then you will be.

and nally . . .

Tell us more about what is currently going on with Lindsay Campbell Fashion Stylist? As I mentioned I have just worked with The Hour on a capsule wardrobe segment. I am gearing up for styling this year’s Scottish Fashion Awards in its brand new venue, alongside styling campaigns for twelve shopping centres across the UK. I am hoping to do a little bit more TV work, and I have editorial shoots and magazine top trend pieces for a number of publications around the UK coming up. I also have a couple of celebrity shoots pencilled in with a leading lifestyle magazine. Fingers crossed it is going to be a good year!
