RUSH HOUR Article: Rush Beyond The Lighted Stage (657) I saw this movie and have to say it’s excellent. Sure, it will appeal to Rush fans, but that’s a given. This film goes beyond that, with fascinating behind- the-scenes footage and interviews with one of rock music’s most enduring bands. They are cool because they’re smart enough to be comfortable with themselves and really don’t care what you think that’s real rock’n’roll. Rufus T Firefly, London Comment posted at List.co.uk

AN IN-TENTS EXPERIENCE Article: Festival Profile Big Tent Festival (657) A couple of updates on this festival. The venue is Falkland Estate, not Falkland Palace (it’s moved site and the new location is even more beautiful!) Also, there are green discounts on the website, so if you sign up to pledge a reduction on your carbon emissions, you’ll get up to 20% off your ticket price. LETTER OF THE FORTNIGHT FESTIVAL FRENZY Article: Summer Festivals 2010 (657) Thanks for your guide to summer festivals! I am looking forward especially to Latitude and seeing Vampire Weekend and The National. I also hear the food at Latitude is above the usual festival standard (ie cardboard pizzas, greasy noodles not very hard to out-do, let’s face it). If I have any money and energy left over, I would love to go to the Secret Garden Party on the west coast or to Bestival to catch Hot Chip. Argh! Too many great festivals, too little time! Lauren Mackay, Edinburgh

Editor’s note: Great to hear that you’re excited about Latitude, Secret Garden Party and Bestival, Lauren. But how about the joys of Scottish Festivals? We’re looking forward to Jay-Z at T in the Park, Leftfield at RockNess, the Solus tent at Wickerman and being one of only 500 festivalgoers at Kelburn Garden Party, among many other Scottish summer festival thrills.

THE LETTER OF THE ISSUE WILL RECEIVE ONE BOTTLE OF THE BLACK GROUSE WHISKY Smoky and Smooth a marriage of fine peated Scotch malt whiskies and The Famous Grouse

Even thinking about my ghastly experience at Reading Festival last year is enough to make me never want to see another Festivals Issue again.

It was overrun with drunk teenagers who were crashing into other people’s tents and cruising for random sexual encounters. The music may

have saved it, but at The Prodigy’s set, the production team for some reason turned off the second set of speakers (which started playing again the moment they left the stage), leaving anyone in the back half of the arena out of the party. Maybe in five years, I’ll be ready to think about

T in the Park The mighty T is back, with a line-up to make you salivate. The List will be on hand to give you the comprehensive guide to Scotland’s greatest music festival. JOHNNY BE GOOD Re: event Little Johnny’s Big Gay Wedding I had no idea what to expect when I went along to this show. I'd read the blurb, and knew it was an ‘audience participation’ thing, which, being 8 months pregnant, filled me with some trepidation. I am so glad that I was entirely wrong! I won't give anything away,

but the elaborate set up takes your breath away from the moment you enter the hall. You could be fooled into thinking you'd walked into a real wedding.

The show itself is in equal

parts hilariously funny, poignant and unbelievably clever. Coupled with the genuinely talented singing of the cast, the wonderful, if simple, choreography, and all round infectious enthusiasm, this is an experience which I will never forget.

Please do use this as an excellent excuse for getting the gladrags out. The more dressed up you can be the better! Iaineyk, Glasgow Comment posted at List.co.uk
