The Gaslight Anthem New Jersey’s TGA return, celebrating the release of a new album and single, both titled ‘American Slang. American Slang picks up where the last year’s The ‘59 Sound left off, demonstrating that these boys are masters of the seemingly oxymoronic ‘soul punk’ genre, and boasting songwriting talent that bears healthy comparison to a certain Mr Springsteen to the extent that front man Brian Fallon joined The Boss on stage in London last year.
