Commercial Alternative festival A debut festival outing (yes, another festival, but this one’s put on by the lovely, and very reliable Mono Café Bar) with a cracking line-up for £20. This gets you a full day of performances, including
a great Scottish contingent of Glasgow krautrockers The Phantom Band; 1990s; the newly renamed Astral Planes; bleepy folkster, Remember Remember; Golden Grrls and Peter Parker (pictured). From slightly further afield, both Spectrals (Leeds) and Girls Names (Belfast) represent the much-revered New York indie label Captured Tracks, and there’s a very rare special performance from the legendary psychedelic-punk outfit, Comet Gain. ■ Mono, Glasgow, Sun 4 Jul.
