It’s only a few years old, but the Music at Paxton festival of top-notch chamber Music at Paxton music in a beautiful setting is an event looked forward to by music lovers far and wide. Whether resident in the peaceful Borders countryside where Paxton House sits by the River Tweed, or visiting for the day or short break, audiences can enjoy homegrown and international groups such as the Gould Piano Trio (pictured), Doric String Quartet and the Edinburgh Quartet with pianist Nicholas Ashton. As well as the concerts, there are pre-concert buffet suppers, paintings from the National Galleries of Scotland and a chance to stroll round the extensive grounds.
