Speedy J This month Slam’s intimate Return to Mono party is rocked to the foundations by the techno assault of
Speedy J (aka Jochem Paap). Rotterdam DJ/producer Paap has been instrumental in widening people’s perception of techno, taking the form to its limits with releases on labels such as Warp, Plus 8, Novamute and his own Electric Deluxe, his club sets fuse live technological manipulation, software, hardware, laptops and decks for a fully integrated set. ■ Return to Mono at the Sub Club, Glasgow, Fri 13 Aug.
