Atsuo Okamoto: Faraway Mountain The first UK solo exhibition by Japanese stone sculptor Okamoto showcases the technique of ‘war modoshi’, or splitting and returning, and features 12 pieces sculpted from the same block, which can then be pushed together to reform the original piece. The artist also has work on display in Gayfield Square Gardens, created using a drilling technique, leaving the final artwork vulnerable to the natural light.
