Industrial Strength Records Tour Not many record labels are as relentlessly hardcore as Industrial Strength – as the name suggests they deal in Armageddon-level techno and gabba. It was started by fast-talking New Yorker Lenny Dee: ‘I just started playing techno and it progressively started getting harder and harder for me. I was looking for a new fix so I started playing the records faster.’ He released the groundbreaking ‘Mescalinum United’ way back in 1991. Here he’s joined by Manu Le Malin and Unexist for some seriously malevolent beats. ■ Soundhaus, Glasgow, Sat 28 Aug.
