Auction of Pleasures Do you like pina coladas? And getting lost in the rain? Well, Glasgow Women’s

Library might not be able to help you there, but they can probably find anything else to suit you. In order to help finance their move to new premises in the Mitchell Library, the GWL are offering you a chance to bid on lots that money can’t usually buy: having a bespoke garment knitted for you, one-on-one pilates or dance tuition, a signed print by artist Hannah Frank, a behind the scenes visit to Scottish Opera, a private painting class with Belinda Gilbert Scott, and (be still, our beating hearts) dinner on Simon Le Bon’s yacht! That totally wins our Best Ever Charity Fundraiser Award. There’s also a full evening of dining and entertainment on offer for unsuccessful bidders. St Andrew’s in the Square, Fri 17 Sep, 6pm. £45; £400 for a table of ten. Call 0870 013 4060 to book.
