Karnival hits its fifth birthday this month and open the floodgates to everything from dubby techno and sharp electro to rockabilly and punk, booking the unbeatable double act that is Andrew Weatherall vs Ivan Smagghe for what is January’s must-see club set. ‘We do two or three tracks each or sometimes we do an hour each or half an hour on and off, it depends how long we’ve got to play,’ says Weatherall.
