Zoey Van Goey, with Malcolm Middleton

After charming the collective pants off the music press with their 2009 debut, ZVG are ready to unleash sophomore effort Propeller Versus Wings on the world (see our review, page 66). It’s out on Valentine’s Day, although the band will be selling pre-release copies at this album launch a week before. Joining the line-up at the ZVG launch will be busy lad Malcolm Middleton (pictured above, currently performing under the guise of Human Don’t Be Angry) who, when not gallivanting around with former Arab Strap cohort Aidan Moffat (they’ll be touring together in March), will also be performing solo a couple of days later. Classic Grand, Glasgow, Sat 5 Feb; Human Don’t Be Angry, Mono café area, Glasgow.
