Ms Dynamite

Since winning the Mercury Music Prize in 2002 for her debut A Little Deeper it’s fair to say Ms Dynamite hasn’t had the best luck. Returning to the music industry in 2005 her second album made little impact on the charts, and since then she’s faced a conviction for punching a police officer, a serious car crash on TV in Sky1’s The Race and even picked up a Naomi Award for Worst Urban Act in 2006. However, her full scale rehabilitation has begun in earnest working with the likes of Katy B, Magnetic Man and DJ Zinc and her return to the Glasgow stage at How’s Your Party? with a mix of urban beats, dubstep and garage alongside Redlight, Tayo and Dread MC shouldn’t be missed. How’s Your Party?, Glasgow, Fri 25 Feb.
