Following the release of damn fine third album The English Riviera (out on Mon 11 Apr), Metronomy are currently doing the rounds on a UK tour. The album is the first that brings Metronomy main man Joseph Mount out of his bedroom and into the recording studio, where, accompanied by an updated line-up featuring Anna Prior, Gbenga Adelekan and Oscar Cash, he’s crafted something gorgeous and catchy, laidback and vibrant. Lead single ‘The Look’ is out on Mon 4 Apr give it a listen for a hint at the 70s- influenced modernism that runs throughout the album. Cabaret Voltaire, Edinburgh, Mon 25 Apr.
