Duncan Superfly and Gregor Emond ‘Keep On Keepin’ On’ in a new venue, providing a mix of sweet soul, sexy assed funk, 60s psyche rock, hip hop, post punk and new releases. As one door closes another one opens. Dub, reggae, grime and dancehall soundsystem Mungo’s Hi Fi are finishing up their residency at Stereo (with Pupajim and Stand High guesting for their closing party) but they’re launching new night Walk’n’Skank at Club 520 on 28 Apr to make up for it. Mixed Bizness at the Art School. 13 May, 11pm–3am. £5 (GSA students free before midnight, £3 after). Cutting edge underground beats from resident Benny Boom for a weekend MB special. Sound Pellegrino upstarts Teki Latex and DJ Orgasmic get Thermal with support from local talent HaHaHa. Precision at Soundhaus. 13 May, 8pm–3am. £7 (members £5). The newest drum & bass movement to hit the Glasgow scene, giving local unsigned DJs and producers their chance to shine. Return to Mono at the Sub Club. 13 May, 11pm–3am. £tbc. jackin’ house, Italo, 80s electro, UK funky, and Latin beats. Highlife’s first birthday features a guest set from dubstep pioneer Shackleton, with support from Auntie Flo (H+P Records) and Jim Hutchison (Hum +Haw).
