School of Island Life events

Special guests from the worlds of art, film, politics and music will host a series of free events as part of the ‘Diesel School of Island Life’ project. Glasgow-based music legends Optimo have put together a music-inspired film night about political action and music as a force for change. They’ve picked Baraka, a non-verbal film full of breathtaking and thought-provoking images from around the world (Diesel Island Cinema Curated by Optimo, CCA, Glasgow, Tue 24 May) . There will also be a Diesel Island Disco (one for the diary, at SWG3, Glasgow on Wed 1 Jun) featuring including Optimo DJs, Errors (above), Julio Bashmore and D/R/U/G/S, live.
