Music ROCK&POP This Will Destroy You

The predominantly instrumental Texan band recently released their second album, Tunnel Blanket (Monotreme Records); an intense, sludgy post-rock blur that draws from the band’s droning metal and 80s shoegaze influences. Their music most definitely won’t destroy you, but it will take you on a languid, occasionally pummelling journey between the ambient and the apocalyptic. Or as one music critic put it: ‘[Their music] creates a vortex in your brain, sucking the entire cosmos through one ear and out the other, leaving behind only the secrets of the universe and the unerring tranquility of space.’ Quite.
