EAT, SLEEP and BREATHE

Jonte Ramsten sings in Finnish a cappella group FORK, who are bringing no- instrument versions of ‘Poker Face’, ‘Smooth Criminal’ and ‘Toxic’ to the Fringe. Here, Jonte shares some views on tea and his own hotness . . . What time is breakfast? Usually when we wake up. Tea or coffee? Coffee. Absolutely! But I’m eager to explore the British tea culture when we get there. Smoking or non-smoking? Non-smoking! Unless we’re talking about hotness, in that case we’re smoking! Sweet or savoury snacks? Unfortunately I have an uncontrollable sweet tooth. But for the others [Kasper Ramström, Mia Hafrén and Anna Asunta], savoury. What food do you miss when you tour? Home-made cooking with fresh ingredients. We’re all foodies and enjoy cooking. Who’s the best cook you know? I am! What’s on your rider? Soft drinks, wine, beer, warm food, but most importantly bottled still water. Not that rock’n’roll, I know, but what can you do? Fork is an a cappella group. Which country/ city has the best food? I love classic food, so Italy and France. But best city would be New York there you find every kitchen in the world. Do you eat out a lot? On tour, all the time. It gets boring after a while so at home I try to avoid it as much as possible. Good food is good food, though, whether you eat it out or at home. FORK perform ‘Pink Noise’, Assembly George Square, 6–28 Aug (not 10,17), 6.05pm, £14–£15 (£11–£12). Previews until 5 Aug, £5. Watch FORK footage on YouTube, or go to forkbackstage.blogspot.com
