We’re looking for a freelance film editor to continue that reputation, and develop the section in exciting new directions in print and online.
Candidates should have the following: ■ An encyclopaedic knowledge of film.
■ Strong reviewing skills and an unpretentious approach to film criticism. ■ A pedantic interest in accuracy and detail.
■ A highly organised approach to commissioning and editing. ■ Good contacts with film writers and industry professionals in Scotland and London. ■ An understanding of which films Listreaders would, and wouldn’t, be interested in.
Candidates should also have significant professional experience as a film writer or as a film or general arts editor.

Restaurant Reviewers with SCOTLAND’S LEADING ENTERTAINMENT & LIFESTYLE PUBLISHER
We have a small number of vacancies in the team of reviewers we use for our annual Eating & Drinking Guide. Applications are invited from anyone with the appropriate writing skills and food knowledge interested in contributing to the guide. We are looking for reliable contributors capable of composing sharp, concise and original reviews of eating establishments to tight publishing deadlines. You will need to display thoroughness and accuracy in gathering information, as well as sound analytical skills. We would expect to see evidence of your knowledge of food and drink in general, as well as your familiarity with the eating out scene in and around Glasgow and/or Edinburgh. You will also need to have reliable access to email and the web and be computer literate. All work is on a part-time, freelance basis in January, February and March 2012. The work is generally conducted in the evenings and at weekends.
