TheRealist So much culture, so little time. We boil it down to ten of the best events 1

Pass the Spoon MUSIC Our love for the multi-talented maverick cartoonist and indie-rock dabbler David Shrigley grows exponentially as he turns his hand to penning his first opera. He’s been ably assisted in this endeavour by director Nicholas Bone of producing theatre company Magnetic North and composer David Fennessy, with Scotland’s contemporary group of choice the Red Note Ensemble supplying the music (they also appear at the Minimal Festival in Glasgow this issue see Realist pick three, opposite, for more info). With regards to Pass the Spoon’s plot details, very little has been let slip thus far, aside from the fact that the whole affair takes place in the world of cookery. See feature, page 24. Tramway, Glasgow, Thu 17–Sat 19 Nov.
