Bob, As Hogmanay looms, could you give us your best hangover tip? You’re clearly a man who has enjoyed the good things in life, dare I say it a bit too much? Alan F Alan, When it comes to the hangover cure I’m a traditionalist in that I cook up a fried breakfast. I do have a slight twist in that instead of eating the breakfast I secrete it round the pockets of my winter coat and then go out for a walk. I wear nothing other than the coat and distribute the breakfast around Broughty Ferry by sidling up to passers-by and whispering what I have to offer, such as 'black pudding?' and 'did someone say potato scone?' before whipping out my wares and sending the punters away with a smile on their faces and a hot treat in their bellies. Bob, I gave my wife a selection of gifts for Christmas. The absolute best that Tesco had to offer and she said I shouldn’t have bothered and I had a 'lack of imagination'. What’s her problem? Tommy Craig Tommy, When you’re famous, 'lack of imagination' is something that jealous people throw at you. Among those who have accused me of having a 'lack of imagination' are a policeman, a policewoman (separate incidents), the manager of the Olympic Swimming Baths in Dundee, a policeman, a policewoman (all the one incident), and the so-called judges of the annual Animal Noises competition in Stewpot’s Bar. GRETEL EXPECTATIONS Re: Hansel and Gretel review, Platform, Glasgow (list.co.uk) I loved this production. Wonderful script, fantastic cast, brilliant set, lovely original music and just the right level of audience participation. Lots for adults to enjoy and great use of multimedia. Recommended!
