Mark Padmore & Paul Lewis The centrepiece of New Town Concerts Society’s season is sure to be a remarkable experience. The tenor and piano duo of Padmore and Lewis won Gramophone’s ‘Vocal Solo’ award of 2010 for their interpretation of Schubert’s Winterreise and this is an unmissable chance to hear it in Edinburgh. Tallis Scholars One of the world’s finest choirs, the Tallis Scholars, is set to soar in the glorious acoustic of Kelvingrove’s Grand Hall as they perform the Renaissance masterpiece that has become something of a signature piece for them the Miserere by Allegri. It’s music that launched their road to stardom nearly 40 years ago, but this is the first time they’ve performed it in Glasgow. Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, Glasgow, Fri 10 & Sat 11 Feb.

Hebrides Ensemble: Rush Hour Two new commissions are unveiled in the course of a week.
