1 NICOLA Age: 24 Work: Arts marketing Where do you live: Stockbridge, Edinburgh Hobbies: Frequenting the cinema, gym-ing,

watching live dance and opera, wandering around galleries and museums and dancing in my bedroom. Describe yourself in 5 words: Passionate, loyal, geeky, ambitious and curious. Guilty pleasure: Sometimes I enjoy eating Flamin' Hot-flavoured Monster Munch and Kinder Bueno at the same time. Trust me. Pet peeve: Very loud and unnecessary nose blowing and throat clearing. Animal lover? I wouldn’t go as far as to say ‘lover’ but I do find a little ball of fur pretty cute and would love to have a French Bulldog called Colin some day. At the moment I’m happy enough looking after my goldfish, Gemma. What’s your idea of a great night out? Nights which start without a real plan or just happen after a day at work are often the best. Meeting for a drink and ending up grabbing some food. Having excellent chat and giggles with friends and strangers and ending up somewhere with a dancefloor where massive shapes can be pulled. Perfect. What’s your idea of a great night in? A cold winter evening curled up on the sofa with a real fire, a nice bottle of red wine, pizza and a really good film. Throw in some alpine knitwear and we’re in business. Sum up your perfect date: Someone a bit awkward (but cool with it) with beautiful eyes. Someone with some form of career and ambition who is comfortable having a proper adult conversation but also more than willing to ramble on into nonsensical chat. Good glasses and/or a beard are a significant advantage.

2 PETER Age: 32 Work: Marine renewable energy Where do you live: Meadowbank, Edinburgh Hobbies: Photography, music (listening more than playing singing along loudly, though), getting outdoors (though not in any sort of militant way, usually). Describe yourself in 5 words: Tall, blatant, dry, spectacular and laid- back. Guilty pleasure: Listening to Madonna. Pet peeve: Bad grammar. Animal lover? Definitely, particularly dogs, though I don’t own any. Chuck a dog into the bargain and that’s a good date. What’s your idea of a great night out? Dinner with friends, lots of dirty chat, going to a gig, being antisocial on Grindr, lots of dancing and laughter. What’s your idea of a great night in? Cooking for friends, lots of dirty chat, board games, being antisocial on Grindr, laughter. Sum up your perfect date: The guy: beardy, dark hair, blue eyes, not too short, not too tall, moobless, intelligent, creative, music-lover, motivated and witty (though he doesn’t have to be Oscar Wilde). Other than that I don't really have a type.
