Tramway Family Day: Impossible Bodies Once again the Tramway building will be awash with families, all set to enjoy a series of kiddie-friendly events, this time based on the idea of contemporary performance. At the heart of the day lies choreographer Colette Sadler’s dance work, We are the Monsters, after which you can take part in a workshop, then enjoy some drop-in craft activities making mobiles, streamers and hand puppets. As always, apart from the performance (£2 per ticket) it’s all free. Tramway, Glasgow, Sun 11 Mar.

Aye Write! Head down to the Mitchell on Sat 10 Mar, and see how much you know about your city in the Gallus Glesga Quiz. It’s just one of a range of family-friendly events on offer at the Aye Write! festival, including visits from Badger the Mystical Mutt (pictured), Kipper and the Sticky Kids. Glasgow Comedy Festival Giving the whole family something to smile about, the Glasgow Comedy Festival has a diverse line-up of kiddie events, including Big Howard and his animation pal, Little Howard, Jango the clown, Mr Punch and some Comedy Festival guests at the regular Glasgow Kids Comedy Club. Tramway Family Day: Impossible Bodies Based on Colette Sadler’s dance piece We are the Monsters, this packed family day features workshops and drop-in arts and craft activities, introducing younger audiences to contemporary performance. See photo caption. Tramway, Glasgow, Sun 11 Mar.

The Lion King The Disney classic gets another outing at this special screening where sitting still and keeping stum isn’t obligatory. Adults can sit on a comfy sofa and tuck into pub grub, while little ones enjoy the film or, if they’re so inclined, take part in crafty activities and face painting.
