Oneohtrix Point Never is the creation of Brooklyn looper-geek/synth- fiddler Daniel Lopatin, merging vintage hardware, sci-fi soundscapes, dystopic electronica and TV ad audio samples in an experimental swarm of noise. His 2010 album Returnal was an excellent example of how his obsessions come together performed and recorded on an array of old-school equipment. Support from Sad City. Berkeley Suite, Glasgow, Tue 1 May. 26 Apr–24 May 2012 THE LIST 89
