Craig Coulthard’s Forest Pitch, part of the Cultural Olympiad and London 2012 Festival, is a unique artwork inspired by his childhood experiences of playing football on a pitch in the middle of a forest. It evokes the original spirit of the modern Olympics and challenges our traditional views of nationhood, community, landscape and memory.
