Arts Facilitator Fixed term. August 2012 to May 2014 £24,000 pro-rata (approx. 27 hours/week)

Lyra Theatre makes live performance with and for children and young people, particularly those who face disadvantage. Lyra Theatre is looking for a dynamic Arts Facilitator with experience of engaging vulnerable young people in the arts. Based at the Artspace theatre in Craigmillar, Edinburgh, the Arts Facilitator will be responsible for delivering the Arts Impulse programme. Arts Impulse offers local young people opportunities to see high quality theatre and dance performances, join Artspace youth theatres and create their own work - guided by artists in theatre, dance, music, visual art, writing and technical design.

Applicants must be confi dent and skilled at engaging vulnerable young people in the arts. Educated to degree level or with equivalent experience, they must have excellent administrative and project management skills, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
