While the original venue closed in 1997 and has been since levelled (a block of flats now sits on the site), Fac 51, better known as the Haçienda, played a key role in the development of UK club culture. The famous Manchester club was key in popularising the burgeoning acid house and rave scene and now STREETrave attempt to recreate the atmosphere with a night of retro beats from Todd Terry (pictured), Allister Whitehead, 808 State (DJ set) and K-Klass (live) as part of the legendary venue’s 30th birthday celebrations. ■ The Arches, Glasgow, Sat 30 Jun.
