The Clipperton Project transforms Glasgow gallery

C reative experiments abound this month at the Glasgow Sculpture Studio, as the ever- inventive Clipperton Project continues to inspire with a three-month programme of events, workshops and artworks aimed at raising the awareness of the environmental impact of human activities on some of the world’s most remote and least habited spaces. Housed in the GSS’s new gallery space, the Whisky Bond, by the canal at Speirs Lock, the project will celebrate and educate

through a programme of film, talks and rolling exhibitions. Artists involved in the Glasgow strand include Mexican photographer Miguel Alcalde, US painter Martin Machado, French visual artist Julie Morel and Scottish ceramicist Linsay Saunders. Prepare to be amazed; we are. The Clipperton Project runs until Sat 20 Oct at Glasgow Sculpture Studios, Whisky Bond, Glasgow, glasgowsculpturestudios.org
