The Old Fruitmarket Candleriggs, 353 8000. One of the city’s most atmospheric live venues, which hosts a selection of one-off clubs.

Oran Mor Byres Road, 0870 0132 652. Huge Gaelic- style venue in the West End that plays host to Thursday, Friday and Saturday party nights.

Universal 157 Sauchiehall Lane, 332 8899. This smart venue hosts drum & bass and laid-back club nights, making it a varied space in which to relax.
