Andrew Miller Andrew Miller is a Glasgow-based artist who works across a variety of media including drawing, sculpture, photography and site-specifi c installation. His practice often involves creating work from found or salvaged objects and reassembling them in unfamiliar forms to explore the ways in which things are used and valued. While an exhibition of his work is currently taking place at the Baltic in Newcastle (until 7 Oct), Miller is also one of this year’s Edinburgh Art Festival commissioned artists. His installation, The Waiting Place, which takes its title from the Dr Seuss poem ‘Oh the Places You’ll Go’ is a summerhouse, hosting discussions, talks and guided tours, but also ‘a most useless place’ in which visitors are welcome to simply enjoy the act of waiting for something to happen. The space, which explores the uncertain relationship between how something looks and how it is used, is at St Andrew Square until Sunday 2 September.
