WIN TICKETS TO MINIMAL - ARVO PÄRT

10% off all bookings made & deposit paid by end October. Excluding 7th, 14th, 20th & 21st December.

Paul Hillier directs his wonderful Theatre of Voices and Ars Nova ensembles in a pair of concerts of Arvo Pärt’s timeless choral music. He brings the cream of his current performing ensembles together in Glasgow in October for two concerts of choral, instrumental and organ music by Pärt and we have a pair of tickets to give away for each night. The 1960s: Steve Reich and Philip Glass are turning their backs on the musical mainstream in New York. Meanwhile, in Soviet Estonia, Arvo Pärt undergoes an immense musical crisis: he emerges on a new path writing music that could be called minimal, but minimal in the deep and ancient way. It speaks to the widest audience: over the next 40 years this music reaches a global listenership and influences innumerable composers from James MacMillan to Kate Bush.
